We developed a Dynamic brand for Ca’ Matilde, a Michelin-starred restaurant in Emilia region where hospitality, seasonality and tradition define an authentic experience. The brand is capable of updating its identity without distorting its essence. This involved restyling the logo, creating a new website, and coordinating the dining room, packaging and label for Ragù al Parmigiano Reggiano to ensure consistency across all touchpoints.

A co-design workshop revealed the brand’s core value: the profound connection between people, nature, and culinary traditions. This gave rise to the concept of the five senses as keys to an experience that transcends gastronomy to encompass space, time and emotion.

The visual identity is based on Newglyph’s Crystal font, which has been reinterpreted using dedicated inktraps and a modular grid. The blue and terracotta colour palette recalls the earth and architecture of the location, and the website has become an integral sensory narrative space — a natural extension of the restaurant experience — thanks to the option of offering haute cuisine and hospitality moments through e-commerce.

Cinque sensi.
