The Italian Global Series Festival builds on the legacy of the Roma Fiction Fest, which was dedicated to television drama. For the first edition of the festival, promoted by the APA and the MIC, we designed the logo and corporate identity. We also conceived and oversaw the multi-platform communication campaign, including photography and video, and designed the festival venue setups. We created a Dynamic brand that represents contemporary series in an accessible, pop, and international way. It is a MAD Genius Group project curated by Cappelli Identity Design and co-produced with Moonel Studio.
The base type for the logo is Felliniana, chosen as a tribute to the great film director, Federico Fellini. We paired Felliniana type with a color palette featuring vibrant, glamorous shades that contrast sharply with the azure sea and sky along the coast of Riccione and Rimini, where the first edition took place. The combination of orange and pink creates a vibrant hue that serves as the backdrop for various applications. We started with the concept of seriality, which we visualized through two formats. The first is linked to color bands and alternating blocks of color, and the second is a system of lines that trace the subject’s outline and expand it serially into space. Using the Dynamic brand methodology, we designed every element of the identity – from the website to communication across various touchpoints – to adapt to the context, maintain consistency, and generate meaningful connections.
