In MALLEUS, by Andrés Rafael Zabala, we meet Bea, a woman who survived an attack by a serial killer who murdered her husband. Traumatised and burdened by debt, Bea is pushed further and further into isolation. She lives in a reality suspended between fear, fragmented memories and disturbing presences that could be ghosts or projections of her pain. The film thus becomes a social horror story where violence and injustice intertwine in a psychological crescendo.

The film poster encapsulates this true story, transforming it into a powerful and symbolic image that evokes violence without depicting it explicitly. The OT L22 variable font was chosen for its ability to create a dry and incisive visual language. Clean lines, a limited colour palette and an implied human presence generate controlled tension, foreshadowing the emotional weight of the story. The poster thus becomes a narrative threshold, introducing the theme and conveying its gravity while inviting a necessary confrontation.

Malleus.
A social horror.
