OGR in Turin offers a stage to continue with research, training, and innovation in design.
A new way opened in November for Cappelli Identity Design Studio. After months of preparations, a new branch of the studio founded in Rome in 2010 by Emanuele Cappelli (CEO and Creative Director) opened in the premises of OGR Torino (Officine Grandi Riparazioni).
The Cappelli studio felt at home in this city full of charm, innovation, and culture for art and design. That is why it launched a collaboration with renowned local entities and associations – such as Fondazione CRT, Olivetti, and Associazione Archivio Storico Olivetti –, thus reaffirming a connection that had started a few years before. This synergy encouraged the Cappelli Identity Design studio to deepen its cultural exchange and contamination search, choosing Turin to locate their new (and second) office.
It is no coincidence that OGR Torino was chosen to open the new seat. Its premises – entirely redeveloped/refurbished by Fondazione CRT – provide the most significant example of venture philanthropy in Europe and an international hub for research, new technologies, and culture. Cappelli Identity Design Studio opens a new future thanks to the start-ups, scaleups, and national and multinational corporates composing the new OGR Tech community. This is an important step that will provide the studio with a significant opportunity to continue growing from here on.
