On Thursday 13 March, the Grand Tour AFAM stopped in Florence with Felliniana: il carattere di Fellini (Felliniana: Fellini’s type). An in-depth meeting on the relationship between design and typography, sponsored by the Accademia Italiana Firenze and curated by Emanuele Cappelli, designer and professor of Brand & Graphic Design, founder of Cappelli Identity Design.

A lecture dedicated to the genesis of Felliniana, the first typeface inspired by Federico Fellini’s writing. Emanuele Cappelli illustrated the creative process and identity value of this typeface, highlighting its design and communication implications. An opportunity for in-depth study of graphic experimentation and the role of typography in the evolution of visual language.

The masterclass was organized by Accademia Italiana, in collaboration with RUFA. Rome University of Fine Arts, Roma, and LABA. Libera Accademia di Belle Arti, Firenze.
